Hello,

My name is Miles Ryan and I am a Web Design & Interactive Media student at the Art Institute located in Sunnyvale, CA. My program at school believes in table based web design and we are by far the most under-represented group on campus. I try not to let it bother me though, instead, I keep my eyes fixed squarely ahead to better understand what is coming.

Ever since that ill fated Web Fundamentals class where one of the “Core Competencies” was a deep understanding of table based layout, I have had the notion that school was only half of the equation. Possibly a smaller fraction than that; Google can be a pretty good teacher if it’s commanded by a willing and clever student. I have taken it upon myself to learn from every source that I can and this blog is an attempt to share my findings with the greater public.
